Professionals and students had the chance to enjoy workshops given by some of the most important figures in the world of design for the first time in the islands. Each workshop tried to generate a micro- space of new ideas and concepts in design.

The” Último Grito,” with Autóctono, Guanche y Canario (Indigenous, Gaunche and Canarian) created objects with typologies of use. Albert Folch in Fastzination carried out editorial products and the spontaneity of making, thinking, designing and singing was led by Walking Chair. These clearly showed the variety and quality of the workshops held during the week of the Festival.

América Sánchez with popular graphics. Local Identity focused on the identification of local, popular graphics and Graffica with “I’m a designer and now what?” clarified some of professional opportunities for designers.

Without doubt, TDF Lab encouraged the participants to think about and to create new concepts and products. Design is within everyone’s reach.
