Tectonica Radio
The fusion between contemporary design and the latest musical trends becomes clear in audio-visual experimentation with a close interaction between both disciplines. Events dedicated to experimental music have a strong visual component; not only do screens and stages form a part of the design: the acoustic architecture are also designed. From these concepts, TDF creates TECTONICA.
TDF supports local creators* of electronic and experimental music by designing TECTONICA: an online radio that will be used as alternative platform for the new musical trends. It is a powerful, non-profit making initiative in which creators will be able to promote their work inside the development of the Tenerife Design Festival, taking advantage of its high profile and its resources.
24 hours of music, 365 days a year: TECTONICA will sound out around the world via TDF’s web.

MLADEN KURAJICA Founder of The GAF project, who arises in Tenerife in 1999 and member of other musical formations as Tupperwear (Klitekture Records), Emeth-HNM, (Drone) and Afg-an (Antenna Records). Also he is a charter member of the Group Drone - a cultural platform located in Tenerife dedicated to the promotion of experimental music and the art multimedia - and co-organizer of two international festivals of ultramodern music, Croma and Próximos in Santa Cruz. RESONANCEResonance is the artistic name of Javier Pérez Rodríguez, Canary musician and producer that started his musical career in the mid 90´ thought the experimentation with sounding disturbed fonts . His influences are uneven: German Techno, 60-70´ psicodelia, progressive rock , electro -pop , dancing electronic…all by the searching of experimentation , lead for his association to Drone: a cultural association that join together Music and experimental Art , increasing the creative’s possibilities.

LOD Luis Ortiz is the founder of Klitekture label, a reference of minimal sounding art, with artist as Sutekh, Mikael Stavostrand, Frank Bretchneider, Mapstation, Krikor, Deadbeat, Johan Skugge, Tomas jirku, Tonne, Pep Gaya, Andreas Tilliander, and himself, LOD. They make clicky music, with a conceptual format and with 4×4 rhythm, embellish with all kinds of clicks, crackles and glitches. ENRIQUE MATEUHead Professor of guitar by The Real Music Conservatory of Madrid, and Teacher of Electro-Acoustic Composition of The Superior Music Conservatory of the Canaries. He has a broad career as musician and producer (Artenara, Expressesion, LapTopArt…) betting on the fusion between art and new technologies. He has an active role in many projects to spreading and revalorizing music (Inexart, Spectra, Gaceta de Músicos…) as well in many headline companies of music services.

Mckenzie Music
Ivan T. Hall created the independent label in 2006 Mckenzie Muzik, that combines the best and most select of contemporary music of Islands: SuperstereO, Keiko, Roman Liebs & The Music Gurus, Primitive Sound System, ST Fusion, etc.. Mckenzie Muzik has participated in festivals such as Cannes, WOMEX (Sevilla), CMJ in New York or Berlin Popkomm 2008. McKenzie’s work continues in 2009 with entry into the seal of two new bands, Jazzy Brown (Soul / Fusion) and Link (Electroacoustic / Experimental). |
